Then, IPMR’s experienced technicians recondition your shaft to like-new condition through metalizing, electric welding and straightening. Quality Babbitt Bond - Shaft Clearance - Oil Relief and Oil Holes
Rebabbitting of your industrial bearings, particularly for heavy mill applications, can improve performance while extending the life of your motor by many years. Once in-house, IPMR technicians remove the old babbitting and pour new. The rebabbitted bearing is then re-machined back to tolerance. Then, they are carefully checked for proper shaft clearances, correct sizing of oil relief and oil holes, and concentricity. Ultrasonic testing assures the quality of the babbitt bond to the housing.
